American Indian Program

The State of Minnesota expects that each district that serves more than 10 students to facilitate an American Indian Parent Advisory Committee.  This group partners with district representatives to develop and implement a plan to best serve American Indian students in the Hastings school district.

The plan must support the District's World's Best Workforce goals which must support these areas:
  • Kindergarten Readiness
  • 3rd Grade Reading
  • Closing the Achievement Gap
  • College and Career Readiness
  • Graduation Rates

Any parent, grandparent or guardian of an American Indian student may serve on the American Indian Parent Advisory committee.  All meetings will be held at the Curriculum Center (the building in the Kennedy Elementary school parking lot) from 6:00PM to 7:30PM.
