NonResident & Statewide Enrollment Options

If you reside in the state of Minnesota but you are not a resident of ISD 200 and wish to enroll in the Hastings Public Schools (ISD 200), please contact Cathy Blaha at (651) 480-7013 or cblaha@hastings.k12.mn.us for more information.

General Statewide Enrollment Options Application
Statewide enrollment options, also known as open enrollment, is Minnesota’s public school choice option that allows students and parents to have access to schools that are not within their resident district. This program allows student enrollment from one Minnesota school district into another. Nonresident districts must receive applications by January 15 for the following fall. If the district in which you reside receives Integration Revenue, the January 15 deadline is waived and this application can be completed anytime during the year. Click here for a list of the districts receiving Integration Revenue. The applications must be physically signed by the parent or legal guardian. Please click here for additional assistance in completing the open enrollment application.

Non-Resident Agreement Application
This application should be completed by non-resident parents/guardians when the January 15 deadline has passed and no exception in law applies. If the district in which you reside receives Integration Revenue, the January 15 deadline does not apply and the only application accepted is the General Statewide Enrollment Options Application. Click here for a list of the districts receiving Integration Revenue. If a student is approved under a Non-Resident Agreement Application and the family plans to have the student continue attending ISD 200, a General Statewide Enrollment Options Application will need to be completed and mailed to the nonresident district prior to the January 15th deadline for the following academic year.
